Hey guys,
I've got a project coming up on Saturday that will be using the 170 as part of a multicam operation. We'll be switching with a Tricaster. I'm trying to get the BNC output on the back to feed into the SD switcher and I'm having no luck at all. I've tried all the options I can think of in the AV IN/OUT menu, and still nothing. The only thing I've noticed is that when I try the SDI On/Off, there is a lot of digital noise when I turn it on, and it goes black when I turn it off.
The Component/SDI select option is on auto and is colored blue so it isn't able to be selected. Is there another menu option somewhere else I'm missing that will change that to a selectable option?
I was able to get it to work by going from the 170 with a firewire into a deck and then into the switcher from the deck. While that may work, it obviously isn't very practical.
If anyone has any ideas, I'd really appreciate it. I'm hoping it's something as simple as a menu option I'm missing. Sorry if the post is rambling, I'm in a hurry.
Thanks a lot,
Evan
