Hi all
I've been hunting for answers for this for a while now.
I am shooting a full catalogue shoot/promo/product videos for a U.S company, they are wanting to achive all the best footage for any future productions.
The problem is i am in PALland (New Zealand) and archiving needs to be in NTSC.
I am shooting 720 25p 50fps and using cinema tools to conform to 25fps for the slomo on the required shots.
using the conform 25 to 24, under the tools menu in FCP, works with the 'conformed slomo' footage but is doesn't with the original footage which it at normal speed (so 50fps)
1. is the conform 25 to 24 a suitable PAL to NTSC conversion? should i be looking at a third party program to do this?
2. would shooting 25pn be a better option for me as the conform 25 to 24 function in FCP will work for both normal speed and slomo speed clips?
I would prefer to shoot 25p 50fps as having the audio and the option for slomo is defiantly a HUGE plus for this type of shooting...slomo action but recording athlete audio grabs at the same time. For the ease of converting PAL to NTSC through the conform tool a could live with shooting 25pn.
Any assistance would be much appreciated,
Thanks in advance
