Hey everyone!
I need to know what the best way to convert a still frame from ex3 footage is. I am looking to take some still photography with the ex3, and getting it blown up on some posters. What is the best way to do this??
Thanks!!

Best way is don't. The EX3 is totally unsuitable for this.

totally. any current digital camera shoots way higher rez than hd video...
1920x1080 is good for a 5x7 photo at best..

I have a contrasting opinion. I've pulled decent 8x10 prints from XDCam timelines. In certain situations, I get better results pulling a frame from video than I get from an 8MP DSLR, such as hand held, shooting subjects in motion, etc. The DSLR is just to low an ISO to take a grain-free image without a lot of blur, whereas I captured the same shot with the XDCam and was able to pull to clean, crisp still, free from grain and motion blur. Sure I can ramp the ISO up on the SLR, but it gets grainy as heck and it's still a wash as to what has more usable detail.
And when you consider the SLR is a Bayer filtered image and the XDCam uses three imagers dedicated to each primary color, one starts to realize there is more to those 2.2MP frames than the numbers tell on the surface. Grab uncompressed XDCam off the SDI and you're going to see some really clean images, too.

Basspig, if he had said 8x10s, I might agree. But posters?
