I'm using the DMC-GH1K, a 2.33 GHz 3GB DDR2 MacBook Pro. Just installed Snow Leopard (OS 10.6)and Final Cut Express 4.

I'm trying to get my workflow down, though am brand new to AVCHD.

I shoot in 1080i, copy the Private folder off the SD card, open it as a custom path in Log and Transfer. I can preview the clips, add metadata, but when put in the queue, processing is about 10 seconds before: "Error: No Data."

My sequence presets: AIC 1080i60, my Log and Transfer preferences: AIC/Plain Stereo.

What am I doing wrong? Please help.

Sounds stupid but have you tried restarting? That's always fixed problems I've had with P2 log and transfer.

Does FCE4 even inhale AVCHD?

I think so...it's the latest version...I am very sure it does.

Sometimes I get errors on Log and Transfer and I just restart the program and try it again a few times...usually not with GH1 footage though.

Sorry Ben, thought it was an older version.

Ciao,

FCP 4 instead of FCE 4? yeah that confuses me too sometimes.
