Manual Focus

Could someone explain how to set the camera to manul focus. Please?

Switch the camera to MANUAL on the middle bottom. Then switch the focus over to M. Then use the focus ring. If that doesn't work let me know, could be your auto/manual switch settings in the menu.

Yes...thats what I thought..but seems to be working now. Maybe I just didnt move it in the exact position..because it kept going auto on me...And this screwed up my night shot of the shuttle launch.. And sorry I didnt mean to post this in then screen shot section.

And If you dont mind..I cant find any auto/manual settings in the menu? Wear is this?

Under AUTO SW / AF - but this is only to turn auto ON or OFF when it is in auto mode. So really if its (all the way over) on manual it should be up to your focus switch setting.

Thanks the AF must be off or it will auto foucus no matter what.
