Got my Japanese import GH1 today.
I think I can live with the Japanese menus and translation tables.
However, I'm thinking it must be possible to modify the 1.1 firmware update file (GH1__112.bin 8mb) to make the Japanese version of the camera display English menus, since the file contains English text and other languages when you search it with a hex editor.
Either the Japanese strings could be overwritten with English ones or (more advanced hack) the code which checks whether it's a Jap or Euro/US camera and displays menus accordingly could be patched.
Any ideas how this could be approached??
