A short voyage through smoke. What sensations does it make you feel?

I started with one idea, ended with another. The video and music made themselves, just as much as I made them myself.

Recorded a single column of smoke, live coloring, with my HMC150, at 720p, 60fps. Edited with Sony Vegas 9. Music composed in Sonar 9, using Garritan Personal Orchestra.

so, how did you light it? (the scene, not the cigarette!) inquiring minds want to know. (at least, video beginners like me)

Very nice indeed... Says on vimeo it was lit with LEDs. I love them too as they drop off so fast and just illuminate a few feet in front.


I also liked his out of focus car light video... very cool. I too like the abstract.
