Spent an hour in Bryant Park, mid town New York, grabbing random clips there.

This was handheld... I tried using a camera bag strung round my neck as a kind of platform, but still pretty shaky - especially as I use tele a lot. Next time tripod! But I am learning a bit about how keyframes can help counter a drifting clip... useful.

I learned one thing: all the women loved being filmed; the men were blase. Nice thing about the HMC150 - it looks professional, so everyone falls naturally into 'extra' roles.

Nice and swift video. I also liked the camera shaking, it makes it feel more "up close and natural"; had you used a tripod, it would have felt more "distant".

As for the camera's professional look, I totally agree. People tend to react very differently when they see a big camera (i.e., not a handycam).

I'm curious about your interactions with your subjects. Did anyone ask you what you were shooting for? If so, how did you answer? Do you tell them you're just messing around or what?

Great video, btw. It captures the mood of a summer day very well.
