basic question about autofocus

sorry for the beginner's question,

is there a way for the gh1 to autofocus continuously in movie mode? i mean without having to press half way? (like a regular camcorder will try to focus all the time)

i remember one of the first video from panasonic showing a dog moving in focus towards the camera, how do you do that without having to press half way? is it possible?

turn autofocus on, simple like that. but that obviously only works with the kit lens. the gh1 supports continous autofocus, if you press the shutter half way it will (try to) focus instantly, giving unprofessional results

shame on me, i don't why since a few days i always pressed half way to focus, forgetting that it'll do it automatically.
maybe because the auto focus isn't fast enough in some cases, or maybe it's because i'm stupid.

AF is pretty slow, unless you have the shutter speed very high in good light.
