Howdy...

Has anyone here thought of using an Amazon Kindle DX as a telepromopter?

I have just bought one to see how well it works. Currently, I use one of two methods... Either printing the script on a piece of paper that is taped under the lens to the lens hood, or using the EZ Prompter Stealth (http://www.barbertvp.com/products-ezprompter-stealth.html).

The issue with either method is the pain of printing/swapping out pages. I wonder how the DX will work, using PDF files. I like the idea of loading up 10 pages, and just being able to click to switch forward and backward between pages.

Let me know your thoughts. I'll post my findings when it comes in...

Best,

Ben

OK, so 139 views and not a single response... Must be a lot of interest out there! :-)

Here's my current setup. Works well handheld or on tripod, and is GREAT for when you need just a few lines of text...

Let me know what you think..

Ben

How do you scroll and what not?

You don't scroll... This is for '1 page at a time' teleprompting.... No good for long reads, but sufficient for a few sentences..

You can, however, have many pages queued up, and use the 'next' button to page forward to the next scene...
