Just completed some shots with the HPX300 that I just acquired. Really love the overall image but I am seeing a fair bit of noise. Was shooting outdoor flowers/garden subjects in 1080 30p. Gain set to low.

Anyone have any suggestions on setup to lessen this?

Thanks

I just received my 300 last week and am seeing the same thing in 1080 60i (outdoors noise in the grass and tree bark.) I upgraded the camera to the latest firmware straight out of the box, and was using the VIVID60 scene file. I could see the noise on playback on the side LCD and on a Panasonic 1710 LCD monitor via SDI. I am using DVCProHD since AVC-Intra isn't supported by Raylight Ultra for Vegas yet. I have since set the DRS from 3 to 1 for the scene file, but haven't had a chance to shoot anything else.

I will say this, I ran the downconverted composite video signal into my Sony PVM-8044Q CRT monitor and it looks absolutely wonderful.
