This is the best category I could find for my question, I think. Adobe's Ultra (once Serious Magic's) had the capability of placing a person (after being keyed) into a 3d virtual set. The set could move around and finally reveal the person or move from one person to another. Unfortunately Ultra was not offered in CS4 but it was in CS3. And Adobe has discontinued Ultra. Question, Does anyone know of software that can do this without the user having to become a CGI graduate?

you could easly do that in After effects (or any compositor that offers basic keying), you don't have to create the background yourself!

thats what CGI artists are for ;)

I've used the above mentioned software and, essentially its a fancy keying software (albeit a good one).

You could even easily to all the 'reflections', shadows and basic camera moves, just set up the shots as 2d planes and pan the virtual camera.

Hope that helps
