Assisted on a friend's short film this weekend called See Bobby Run.

A-cam was hvx200, but I was allowed to shoot a few scenes as B-cam with my HMC150.

duplicated the a-cam's scene file settings:
cine-V with master ped -7, WB at 3.2k preset.

these are screen grabs with some CC from a torture and fight scene in a dark office building that was under construction.

we had very limited lighting available as the only electrical outlet was some 200ft away down a long dark hallway! i think we made it work to our advantage though. :)

was interesting to compare the images and lcds between the hmc150 and hvx200, with the 200 showing more orange/red skin tones.

had to stop down the hmc150 at least 1/2-1 stop to match the hvx200.

don't know how much gain the hvx200 has, but in order to match footage, i wasn't able to apply any gain on the hmc150.

dang this camera held up well in low light...and with NO gain!
and i didn't have any of the dark/reddish tone issues that i did with cine-d. =)

some color-corrected frame grabs:
(wb - lowered contrast of shadows and highlights
cc - boosted saturation and contrast, added red, yellow and green)

Impressive! I'm also curious how'd you secure that location.. seems perfect for the scene you're getting at. Where can I watch the film when its done?

thanks.

one of the other actors (also our super pro audio guy) lives in a loft in the building. he got us access to the under-construction area, which was perfectly dark and industrial for this scene.

i'm not sure where the producers will post the film but i'll make sure to put up a link when its done (in a month or so).
