--
With the shop will hopefully come easier browsing, ordering, and faster response times and order fulfilment.
This thread is for discussion of the DVXuser Battery, and/or Questions, comments, etc about the batteries, purchasing batteries, etc.
We are happy to offer our DVXuser.com members specially made 5600mah batteries for an incredible direct price of only $79.00!. We had these batteries specially made from one of the most reliable battery makers and have tested them to meet the standards of our users. They work with the DVX100, DVX100a, DVX100b, HVX200, HVX200a, HPX170, Pal and NTSC models and the DVC-30, and other Panasonic cameras that use the CGR series batteries, . They charge in the original chargers that come with your camera as well as lenmar, Dolgin, and most other aftermarket chargers.
In our tests, they lasted over 5 hours of constant 24pa recording, with the LCD closed and EVF on.
The table below are best case results, so you may have better or worse run time depending on how much you zoom and use the TFT display, FF/RW, standby etc.

All orders that were placed by 4pm mountain time today have shipped. any others will go out tomorrow. I hit the post office around 3-4pm mountain each day when necessary.
I recommend priority mail for orders of up to two batteries... it costs 4.95 and I can ship in a flat rate box, so we don't have to tack on any extra for shipping supplies, etc. Priority is supposed to be 2-3 days average. unless you want it quicker of course. Still tweaking out the shipping options, but we'll get you taken care of one way or another :)

Hey Jason, how long does it take for a battery to get across the border? I ordered a battery on August 18 and haven't heard a peep.
Also, I got an $8 refund after I paid, not sure why, lol.

Hey. The refund was for the difference in shipping cost. I shipped it priority flat rate, rather than priority. Shipping time is the same, but the cost is less, so I refunded you the difference :)
Supposed to be 6-7 business days to canada for priority. Looks like you shipped out on the 21st (which would have been late that day)... So, today is the 8th business day. checked the status and looks like last update was when i shipped it out (which is normal).
Hopefully will be there within the next day or two. could also get held up in customs for any number of reasons. But, if you don't receive it by the end of the week let me know.
EDIT TO ADD: I shipped two packages to Canada that day, and neither has arrived yet. So, hopefully will arrive soon. Let me know if you don't see it in the next couple of days.

we only have one battery in our store, so if you are asking about that, the battery we have it will work with your camera.
Our batteries have gone through 5 or 6 versions over the years, getting a bit better each time.
I'm going to extend the 10 dollars off per battery coupon for at least another couple weeks here in a moment as well.

Hi,
This could be a dumb question but what is the best way to charge the battery when you first get it?
I have heard that it is best to use the battery until it dies and then charge it all the way. I have also heard that you should put it on the charger and let it charge all the way.
So what would be best for me to get optimal performance from the battery?
Thanks
Micah

Give it a full charge first would be my recommendation.

usps priority is typically 2-3 business days.
Now, the only variable is how quickly I ship. Sometimes I get behind (Just getting caught up today) and it can take a bit.
But, if you email me ahead of time (shop at landmine dot tv) and let me know any special needs you might have before placing your order, I'll see what I can do to accommodate you. I try to ship a few times a week, but the last couple of weeks it was only once a week as I got a bit behind on shipments. I am back current now though.
I am headed to the post office shortly to ship a bunch. If you get your order in soon, I can ship it out with today's orders. Today being Thursday, you would likely have it Saturday or Monday if it shipped USPS Priority Flat Rate (which is 4.95).
There are other shipping options as well that can get it there next day, etc. Please feel free to email me and we can discuss.

Jason

Jason Ramsey

no. canada is around 12.95, I think. The system is billing you like 19.95, but I can refund the extra after teh fact.
I'd wait until tomorrow (monday to order).... batteries are going on sale until the end of the year... they will sell for 59 bucks for the rest of the year... holiday special :)

Hello Jason.
I have 2 questions.
1) Roughly how many hours of shooting will I get with LCD open?
2) The site states the price to be $55 but when I add to my cart it switches to $59.
Thanks

Actually I misread the the listing. I guess I need to buy 4 to get it at $55 a piece.
Could you still answer my other question, please.
thanks

I've never used 'em with a dvx100... But, it's a long time... it was rated at like over 5 hours with the lcd closed...
I get 2-3 hours pretty easy on them with the hvx200 with lcd open and all that stuff. They are rated at 5600mah.. so, just divide it by the mah rating of whatever battery you have now (assuming it's a decent one)... so, say you had a battery that was 1800mah... the dvxuser battery would last you about 3.5X longer than whatever that battery lasts you under the same conditions.

Hello jason do you ship internationally? I live in New Zealand. If you do how much is the shipping costs? Thankyou.
Jason Ramsey
12-20-2009, 01:12 PM
Hey. We do ship internationally. Your average shipping situation would be to have it shipped priority international. I can ship up to 2 batteries in a small flat rate box, which runs 12.95 to New Zealand. The shop will probably charge you more, as the flat rate options don't seem to be showing up right now, but I will refund you the difference after the fact.
So, for priority, which is typically 6-10 days ship time, would run you between 13 and 25 bucks, depending on amount of batteries ordered, etc. That would be the shipping method I would recommend as it is the most economical in my opinion without too long of delivery times. You could upgrade to something like express mail international, but things start to get expensive at that point.

hey. sorry... been in vegas at nab all week. just got back home tonight. was pretty much offline the whole time as well, due to tropicana having the worst 13 dollar/day internet in the history of 13/day internet.
will get the orders shipped out tomorrow or monday. If anyone who ordered in the last week or so, needs them by a certain date, please email me at jason at landmine dot tv and we can discuss if it will be possible for me to get the batteries shipped (at my expense) using a quicker method, or if a refund will be necessary.

Stock was mis-counted on the store. Am ordering a new batch int he next day or so. Will be sending out emails to current orders to make things right for anyone waiting on batteries. either refund, free batteries, etc... I'll take it on a case by case. Just a few folks with outstanding orders, but will get you all taken care of individually.
I intended to contact you earlier, just been a bit crazy for me atm with an ongoing move.

Hi there,
I live in Canada and I see you are not able to ship your product here? Is there a way around this?
Jason Ramsey
07-01-2011, 01:12 PM
I have to do a little research and see if I can ship afford-ably to Canada... Apparently, Canada has gotten much stricter recently, and last time I tried to ship via postal service, they would not let me...
I'll try to find out what I can find out and get back to you on it.
