Hello, I'm about to order two Sennheiser Evolution G3 wireless lav's from B&H, but I'm concerned about how to get my EX3 to receive both signals. Only one of the Sennheiser receivers can be attached to my camera, so how do I fill both available channels on the EX3? Can one Sennheiser receiver accept signals from two different lavs?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I recently did a shoot employing two Lectrosonics wireless mic systems connected to one EX1. Each mic input can function independantly of the other. You can connect the output of each wireless receiver to one of the EX3's input channels. In the case of the Lectrosonics, it was an XLR to XLR cable. I just put foam pipe insulation around my tripod leg and tye wrapped the receiver modules to my tripod and ran the wires up to the camera audio jacks. Works with no glitches.
Not sure what the G3's outputs are like, but probably XLR balanced like the Lectrosonics. Since each receive has one audio output, connect two receivers to the EX3, one for each XLR input jack. Be sure to check whether the G3 is outputting line or mic level signals and set the EX3 inputs accordingly.

I have a solution that will also leave your top shoe available for a light if necessary. I am one of the site sponsors and I have a bracket called a "J-rod" that replaces the mic clamp on the EX cameras with a solid aluminum bracket with 2 cold shoe mounts. 1 can be used with a shock mount and the other with a radio receiver, or 2 radio receivers, 2 mics, firestore, etc. Since it is solid aluminum and mounted directly to the camera it is very strong and carries a 2 year warranty.
Please check it out at www.Thej-rod.com or click on my link in below.
Please let me know if you have any questions as well.
