Im a little frustrated right now and can't find a quick solution through a search engine. I just installed a WD 1.5TB sata 3.0g/s 32MB cache drive to use as a scratch drive and premier is telling me that it is write protected and I can't use it. I am running mac osX, anyone know a quick solution to un-write protect it?

Have you re-formated it to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format?
You might be getting the write protected message if it's still NTSF formated.

Yeah. I reformatted to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and tried to partition it with one partition. I was on the phone with the folks from WD and the drive seems to be working just fine so it seems to be something with Premier... which is odd.
