has anyone used the RC10G with the 300?
specifically, i'm looking to get into the matrix and/or create my own.

On my HPX300, I find that the preset white balances shift toward having a green cast. True white balances in the A or B channel look fine. (I'm actually seeing this same issue on another 300 as well, so I'm pretty sure it's not just mine)

With a Chroma DuMonde chart and a scope, I can't seem to get enough manipulation to eliminate the green through the use of chroma phase, chroma level, gamma and matrix selection.

While I know it's a sub-$10k camera, I'm wondering how to gain enough control over Green to eliminate the tint that I see in Preset.

Is it possible to manipulate any of the Matrix individually? Build my own Matrix?
Would the use/changing of the Lens Shading menu help? (under Lens Setup there is Shading Select with Default, User1, User2, User3 and Off but I'm unaware of how to create User files for the Shading)

Would a paint-box give me access to further manipulation? the 300 menus have a range from -7 to +7 - which doesn't seem to be enough, but i notice that the controls on the rc10 go from -63/+63. do they actually give this much latitude or is it limited to the -7/+7?

I like to be able to rely on the presets as I'm primarily an ENG shooter and don't always have the luxury of time to do a white.

Using HPX w/RC10 on current season 13 of "Good Eats".

Does not appear to be a way to access the Matrix directly via RC10 on the HPX300 (the menu is there but not active with this camera model)

Page 26 of RC10 manual under MATRIX shows all these options but they are in the GRAYED out area of the RC10 menu manual which specifically states the RC10 CANNOT control these in the HPX300.

If you hear of a firmware upgrade which allows this be sure to let me know.

hi marion - thanks for the response - how much range is there in chroma phase, chroma level, gamma? is it -7 thru +7 as per the in-camera menus or does it go -63/+63? it is even accessible or is it grey'd out?

thanks so much!

Happy to share.

Chroma Phase/Level are +/- 7 only.
Gamma is only HD Norm, LOW, SD Norm, HIGH, B.Press, Cinelike D and Cinelike V not any numerics.
