I have the jinfinance Nikon adapter and realized the infinity focusing doesn't work at real infinity for the lens. Infinity ends up being right before the infinity mark and if you go past that you're out of focus. Is there a Nikon adapter that actually gives you infinity focusing at the real infinity of the lens?

Mike, I have the Panny m4/3-to-4/3 adapter and a Fotodiox F-to-4/3 adapter and it seems to work well enough. At some point, however, I'd like to get a couple of F-to-m4/3 adapters though to cut down on the bulk.

Cheers,

Yeah, I definitely want a single adapter. Seems the one I have needs to be a little thinner maybe.

I've used both types and didn't have a problem.

Which specific adapter do you have?

Maybe it's more that lens rather than the adapter? I guess the good thing is that you caught it and that means you can compensate for it. Assuming that you can visually see the focus, of course.

It's all my Zeiss lenses. I would expect it to be the same as any Nikon lens on a Nikon camera though. It has to do with the distance of the back glass surface to the sensor, right? I don't have others to test that with.

Could be due to the alignment of the helical assembly.

I got the F to m4/3 adapter from jinfinance and just assumed infinity would be off, but it seems dead on! At least, I've confirmed this on my 24mm f2 Nikon, will have to double check the rest.

Well, even the auction description for the jinfinance adapters say infinity will be off a little. So you may want to double check to be sure. What I'm wondering is if there's a different adapter that has the infinity focus all the way to the end instead of just before it.
