View Full Version : modifying 3 wheel "running" baby stroller

has anyone ever tried to convert one of those 3 wheel strollers that you see women runnin with their kids in?
it seems like it would be a good base to start with for a urban dolly that wouldn't be restricted by tracks etc.
they seem to have a minor suspension system too.

It might work for certain applications. I've used a wheelchair with good results. You can't sit in stroller, but you can rig some sort of a platform with it. Give it a shot and let us know how it goes.

what i'm going for is smooth moving shots, i'm doing a sketch series with a bunch of people in boston and we want to shoot the opening montage in the boston commons/gardens near the statehouse and i've been thinking about the sport stroller idea for a long time.
it seems like a great outdoors "doorway dolly" plus it would be low-key
i haven't gotten my hands on one yet but it seems a great bast to convert to a camera platform.
i have plenty of camera heads and 5/8th rods with matthews grip clamps.
