Hi,

Can someone please have me a link on where can i download AVCHD footage?( even at least 1 minute worth of footage) I really want to purchase a HMC150 this month, but I guess I have to do some testing if my MacBook Pro(2.1 GHz, 3 Gig RAM) can handle smooth editing on Premiere CS4....

Will use it primarily for editing same-day edit wedding coverages...

Thanks in advance.....

I don't have any footage, but I do have a 8 core Nehalem Mac and CS4.1.

Much more powerful than you MacBook Pro.

It does not smoothly edit footage in Premiere. It just doesn't.

Straight cuts at 720p are, at most, workable. But even that is a little glitchy.

1080 is not a pleasant experience.

I actually found it on Google. I was hoping to find some footage posted by Mark Von Lanken (I think that's how you spell his name) - it's from a wedding that he did and actually contains the entire folder structure and a number of short clips. Hit up Google if you're interested - it can't be too far buried.

Oh nice. I didn't think to check that. I think I have seen Mark's work on here before. Great wedding video if I am thinking of the right person.

Yeah you probably have - he's shared a lot of his weddings with us :).

As a matter of fact I was wrong when I said it was Mark who posted it. He did post footage, but only the .mts files, which many programs won't read alone.

I wrote more about it here: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?p=1712096#post1712096
