Do you have any idea what issues it's going to address?

only that they are adding support for class 10 SDHC - i am hoping for some REAL improvments beyond this but have no idea what else

Hi Mattsan! I'm looking to upgrade to the HD camera world from the XL2 world and am seriously considering the HM700. I'm guessing you have one, right? If so, can you give me your opinions on it? I love the shoulder mount design....the QT recording format.... and the cheap SDHC media. What pros & cons can you tell me about it?
Thanks in advance!

Can JVC cure the chromatic aberration in the lenses with a software upgrade?

highly doubtful - mainly this update allows for class10 sdhc and thats about it.

JVC have let a lot of users unhappy with this feable update.

~Sony, canon, Panasonic et al do a much better job of adding features and improvements to their cams.

Unless things change soon - my next cam certainly wont be a JVC and this is what I suggest to you too.
