lens question

I'm thinking of buying a wide angle lens for my camcorder, Sony
VCL-HGE07A Wide Angle Camcorder Lens. My question is. Can you use the
camera zoom function when you have this lens on? Some reviews i've
read seem to suggest it can't handle focusing when zoomed.
