Premiere merges _1, _2, etc. clips?

Hi there, this has happened me a couple of times when importing long recordings that are automatically split on my SDHC card into _1, _2 and _3. In Premiere all of them are _1 + _2 + _3. I was wondering how or why this happens, I guess it has to do with all the other weird and unknown to me files that rest upon /bpav.

Any insight/warning?
