filmed on an HPX500, fujinon 17x lens
filmed against a green screen and blue screen in my dining room. For what ever reason, the blue screen keys better.

Wow, great job with this video! The color looks amazing, especially the orange/red backgrounds. The song is great too, everything came together on this one. The only minor flaw is the singer's guitar playing, it looks like a prop since he clearly isn't playing the song as it was recorded. Most people wouldn't notice that though, I do because I'm a guitarist. It's an impressionistic piece anyhow, so it doesn't really matter. Nice work of art, well done!

Thanks Brad, thanks a lot.
The singer is actually the song writer and does play the guitar. In other takes he played flawlessly, but alas, those takes weren't emotional enough. I took him aside and worked him over to bring the emotions he felt writing the song and express them as we shot. He did. He also could barely sing, had trouble syncing to the music, and the guitar playing was gone. That's how deeply he felt those feelings.
The cut-aways don't always match the cords because I went for the look rather then the sync.
Choices, choices, choices and not always the right ones.

In this case I think you made the right choice allowing the emotional to trump the technical. This really is one of the best music videos I've seen during my five years on this site.
