Cheers all.. Still in the assembly phase.. no graphics, cc, or polishing. Shot in 720 60p but didn't go slow mo with it for this piece... maybe on another one. Looks really good but I wish I had my polorizer on for the exteriors. Shot in about an hour and man these guys are in some darn good shape.. I almost feel bad about drinking sweet tea and eating pastries while I did this... but ohh well.
Hope you enjoy:

Nice. I think the outdoor stuff looks pretty good even without the polorizer. The inside was a little flat but it seems to be from the plain white walls which you cant help of course. Some CC will help that too. Good edit and I like how you cut quickly to small reactions from people to keep the pace going. Nice work.

good job in taking advantage of the HMCs manual zoom ring. Couldn't get snap zooms with a servo :)

Cheers guys. I do love the manual lens and the 60p. Yes... the indoor stuff is pretty blah but sometimes that the run and gun nature of things and also budgetary decisions. This wasn't by far a staged shoot. I just ran around trying to avoid people and that was enough of a work out for me.
cheers

Great looking people....
But what a horribly ugly space!
Yuck!
Dirty white walls etc....
They should have given you more leeway to pick a better looking location.
The outdoor stuff looked WAAY better!
Personally - I think it could have used a more aggressive music track.

Quite impressive, my only picky thing isn't on the shooting or the editing, exactly, but the font at the end that is white. I would change that to something a little more rounded off, so it fits in.

Excellent job Justyn, as usual. It flowed well, with tight editing.

Cheers all. Yep.. I am somewhat limited in dealing with these guys. They pick the location, they pick the opening graphics and they pick the music... So in some senses its easier, but in others it just doesn't flow as you all have pointed out.
I did another one for them a few weeks back: http://www.electriccowtheater.com/GOLDS/Lean16F.mov
Kind of the same deal with that one.

It would be good to do something with more controlled lighting, better setting, more control... but I'm dealing with a client that has money and budget constraints. I know that we all battle with giving people the best work, but for the budget that they give. I often catch myself bringing gear out.. going the extra mile.. doing all this extra stuff that's not paid for.. I have to catch myself on that, but I don't ever want to deliver crap... .unfortunately sometimes that slips into the picture... and other times you can see that there is no future with the client so it's best to limit the kindness and freebies....

Nope.. same scene file, and I didn't have my polorizer so I was somewhat hampered and had to work around the sun and whatnot. I tend to not be much of a scenefile flipper.. except in dealing with the master Ped. I kind of find one thing that I like and go with it.
In florida we are very fortunate to have such bright sun that a 1/1000 shutter is possible and I tend to also push the exposure as much as possible. When done with a polorizer and a Haze filter, gets even better results...
