my 2 cents: some really overexposed shots and the white balance didnt look like it was set right. For overcast days- manual WB on a sheet of white paper or someones white shirt. Also, turn on that OIS and get handheld close-ups in the crowd, most of the shots were wide and on sticks. Otherwise a good effort. The voice over was clean and the music fit.

I agree with Edweirdo on the exposure and white balance, in some parts the story needs to have some more b-roll and maybe edit it a little tighter showing more content in less time!... the voice over sounds good, but the bites you use were a little low and noise around them! Maybe getting a shotgun mic and getting a little closer will help a lot!!!... Good effort, keep it up!!!
On a personal note, it was nice to see some Chicago content for a change =)

White balance is an issue.
Of course, that music bed is copyrighted.

The 3d transitions were a tad distracting. Maybe use less of them or only use them for special impact. Page peel, page peel, 3d ball bounce..... screams amateur.
Also what others said.. WB and exposure...

don't trust the lcd for exposure, many of us have and have been burned. The waveform monitor more than makes up for the HMCs average LCD imo. Use the zebra stripes in handheld or other situations when you cant monitor the WM.

That does seem way off on the WB and the exposure has gone nuclear.. IN HD when they blow out that much you get no detail recorded... In exterior scenes I highly recommend a faster shutter and also a polorizer.

Thanks for all the feedback guys! yeah, i know i forgot all about the white balance! I did this while learning premiere through a total training dvd, so i know a some things look a little amateur, but it's my 1st vid and i learned a whole lot. it was fun too!!

Consider royalty free music for music beds rather than an artist's copyrighted music.
Good first effort, however.
