I have a HVX200A and I am trying to find out how many hours I have put on it.
I checked the menu and it said:

OPERATION 38H

I don't know if this means 38 Hours but I am sure I didn't use it that much.
I searched the messages but couldn't find anything.

Can anybody tell me how to find out?

Thanks in advance.:dankk2:

Yeah, that's what it means. Keep in mind it does not mean recording for 38 hours, it means having it on. With the DVX it was on with a tape in the transport, I don't know how it works with tapeless capable cameras exactly.

That's all you can get aside from tape deck hours (just put the camera in tape mode and check the same menu to see that). Since P2 mode is completely electronic (no moving parts), the "on" hours would seem to be the only relevant parameter - the theoretical wear on the components would be more or less the same whether you're recording or not. I suppose P2 write/read cycle numbers would be nice to know, but that's a card thing not a camera thing, and as far as I know there's no way to display it.
