This is my first wedding that I shot with the HMC150. I now wish I had two of them. You will see some shots in here from my Canon A1 and its pretty easy to tell which ones.

First time out with my new slider (which I love)

I have my suspicions as to which is which, but could you point out which shots were the A1?

I shoot my first wedding in three weeks with the HMC, I am so stoked (which I never thought I would say about shooting weddings). The couple are friends of mine, and the groom couldn't understand why I was so adamant about finding a second HMC and not using another camera. I'm emailing them a link to this. The whole thing looks beautiful. Very well done.

Very nice footage. Very cinematic. Did you have some kind of stabilizer for some of those shots or are you just really smooth handheld? ;)

I do some weddings every once in awhile myself and I was interested to see the way you put this together. Do you keep the whole vows for the final DVD you give the client?

The left side camera at the ceremony is the A1. Also the groom shot before the wedding. There may be another one but those are the ones I remember.

There is a lot of this on tripod. I think most of the handheld stuff is pretty obvious, if it looks rock solid I am most likely on the sticks. (I have a Vinten Vison 3 head so that helps as well)

That's what I thought. Did you use a stock scene file, or was it custom?

Yah scene 3 same as the one that I used for the Sweet Life Video. I dont have an HDTV yet (oddly enough I know) so playing with Scene Files I think is a little difficult since I cant see really what is going on. I did turn down the black level a notch or two I believe.

You really ought to invest in a good HDTV, if only to fully appreciate your own work :)

Even the shots walking around outside... that was carrying the tripod?

Also you had some sliding shots in one of the dressing rooms, is that a dolly?

As far as the HDTV...My wife and I just finished our basement and my office is now down there. One of the next purchases will be the TV so I am very much looking forward to that. We are big Dave Ramsey followers though so it will have to wait till it is in the budget :)

Thanks for the compliments. Yes, I pretty much carry the tripod wherever I go when I do a wedding and I bounce between handheld and tripod constantly.

The slider shots were done with the Pegasus Heavy Lifter from Cinevate. It is pricey, but built like a tank and does a great job. I am looking forward to incorporating slider shots into my corporate work as well.

Ah. That's kinda where I was going when I asked. It's a really nice shot and adds a lot of production value.
