Hello
I notice my HPX-170 came with Scene Files (F1 - F6) from the factory. I don't want to loose these. I haven't got an SD/SDHC card formatted for the camera yet either. However I don't need most of the stock files.
My question is; I do a lot of specialized video work for railways / subways. Going in and out of tunnels/subways. Of course upon entering and leaving we need to adjust the camera for the available light.
I have settings that I like to use. (ND-2 - Gain around 9/12db) Is it possible to save these settings on the dial at the rear of the camera so all I have to do is turn the scene dial from say F1 (normal light) to F2 (new tunnel setting)? I'm all thumbs and the gain/ND is right in front of the LCD screen and I goofed one day and hit the wrong button! ugh! Whiteout! Normally I'll hit the gain/ND either just before entering or leaving the subway or tunnel. But that's 2 buttons I got to keep my fingers on!
I've read Green's book as well as the manual but still not sure I quite understand how to save (and where to save) the scene files and whether I can save an ND filter setting in a scene file.
Can someone help please?
Thanks
Allen
