this is a new one on me. first post here. i just capture sd on my hvx and have had this problem since i got it, esp when using vegas. i just capture via firewire and find sometimes after i'm all done editing and print back to dv, there's macrovision on it. all of my electronics register the output of the macrovision as macrovision through video, svideo, i even have a dvr that i use to backup footage from the hvx that runs on dv and it won't work with the edit. playing around from time to time, it appears it goes all the way back to the tape i recorded on. it just happened again today. i can edit on the computer, but i usually print back to tape to keep from rendering it and then use my dvr to make a dvd as the quality is 10 times that of vegas and its automated. no problems with any other type of transfer, hd or otherwise through the firewire.
anyone ever heard of this, i'd appreceiate it. my friendly dvr and dvd burner likes to let you finish an entire project and let you know its got macro when you go to play it. i have nothing with macrovision in my house, no copies of anything. i don't even watch movies. its coming from blank tapes and raw footage from the hvx. and it comes out all ports when it gets it.
