let me know what you think. i made the title in AE cs4. all from scratch. i am just getting used to making different titles and made this one, with no tutorial or anything in about an hour and a half. this is one of my favorite edits to this date. BTW some of the shots are OF ME, so most of the shakier ones are me in the shot, not filming. let me know what you think :)
all the details on how i shot it are in the description.

Some of the shots are really nice but some footage is simply bad so I would recommend to be more selective. From a skate vid perspective I personally find skatepark footage totally boring and you hardly see any park footage in skate vids nowadays.
One thing I also don't like is the "rotating image shots". It just doesn't look right, it somehow gets me seasick while watching it :)
Anyway, still pretty good shots in there and I also like the music.

I loved that b&w to color transition. That grabbed my attention! Keep it up!

haha thanks. yea, i know some were horrible, youre probably talking about the ones i didnt shoot. the shots are actually of me. and yea, skatepark footage is not very accepted, but thats what we enjoy skating, and thats what were going to represent, i think i speak for the whole team when saying that we just love to skate and dont really care haha.:2vrolijk_08: but thanks for the input/.

I quite liked the intro scene with the B&W / color transition, loved the camp woodward playground shots (thats the "skatepark footy" for everyone who didn't know) and the titles were pretty awesome.
Footage itself could have been a fair amount better, in terms of the angles chosen, and the filming technique itself. But like Blade Borge said, it was good through the whole thing.

thanks a lot guys!!! yea, some of the angles/filming wasnt my best, but like i said, im sure you guys are mixing the footage that was not filmed by me up. the person wearing the green beanie, and the brown chords on. (in everysingle shot that im skating, i am wearing the brown chords) and i am the one usually skating the park :). but yea, i really appreciate the input. any ideas on how i can improve the footage? any suggestions are welcolm.

I have a BMX project going on myself and I understand that you probably have A LOT of footage if your goal is a full DVD. So for every shot to be a beautiful shot is kinda hard. But the trailer should be the best of the best (Shot wise, I know you don't want to give away the craziest tricks and transfers)
However truth be told this promo grabs me and kept me entertained from the beginning to the end. Which is the ultimate goal. So even though you have some ugly shots in there, I think you still pulled it off! I wouldn't stress what others are saying but just let it make you more creative and teach your friend to be more creative when filming you!

I wouldn't recommend skating across the electrical trough again. It could possibly blow you up if the connections inside came loose over time. I've fixed many a blown up trough like the one in the video.
heh
Nice video!

thanks man, and the funny thing is, we dont have a lot of footage....I was really "iffy" about posting this. but yea, the guy who will be filming me, just tore his ACL and MCL, and i just bought an M2, and he wants to start getting more creative.
