1080i 24PN Final cut pro settings

Okay, so I filmed a piece with a HVX 200 at 1080i 24PN when I bring the footage into Final Cut Pro via the "Log and Transfer" the browser says the footage is 1280 X 1080 29.97? but says the compressor is DVCPRO HD 1080p30?...

If the camera is in 24p mode why is it recognizing it as 29.97? does Final Cut not pull down frames automatically in this case? Is there a conversion step that I missed?

You only get 24PN in 720p. In 24p mode you can shoot in 24p advanced and remove the pulldown or shoot 24p and do a reverse telecine with cinema tools.
