Critical, urgent please!

HI everyone, I need your assistance. When I turn on my Hvx200 it just keeps flashing the P2 slot icons on top of the lcd and won't work. Normally when I turn it on... it flashes a few times and turns green meaning it's ready to start recording.
Right now, it just keeps flashing in white and nothing else will work, not even the menu button or record. I have taken off the battteries and swapped them but nothing, I have even connected it directly to power with the adapter but still nothing. It works fine in tape mode but not P2 Grrrrrr!!
I have a shoot on sunday so any help offered is highly appreciated.

just a first stab, but are your cards write protected?

No, the cards are not write protected.

Try the reset button, after this try formatting the P2 card in the camera, using the power-supply and not the battery.

If you have a PCMCIA laptop, try checking the card outside of the camera on that laptop.

All these include loosing footage on the P2.

Worst case scenario is the dual P2 board or its connection to the camera board is messed up.
Second worst case is the P2 card is gone.

Lowest level problems would be a software error, formatting error on P2, firmware version error.

What model is the CAM AG-HVX??? and what capacity is the card and is it the Blue/Black expensive or the "grey" cheaper model?

Hi DjDecay, thanks for your suggestions but none of them worked.
Here's my situation;
First, it's the Blue?black P2 card that shipped with the camera, second I don't have a laptop with that kind of p2 slot.
I have tried the reset button several times to no avail, I can't try any formatting or software upgrade becoz the camera turns on but nothing else works. Not the menu button or record button work. I can't change it to MCR mode for playback thereby making it hard for me to format it. I am so frustrated right now, my head is about to explode!
If nothing else works..where would you suggest for me to send it to for service and what kind of cost(ballpark) can I expect?

You're in the same boat as me, my cam currently has menu and mcr buttons disabled. However record works on an empty card and records. Looks like you're looking at the Panasonic site for support. I wish this site had a Wiki for these.

Your model number needs to be without dashes "AGHVX200A" or similar otherwise the ASP code wont find anything.
