Basically another practice round with the GH1.
Just wanted to work on pulling focus and doing some handheld work,
as well as test out the camera's low-light capabilities and in-camera BW.

Shot with 2 Canon FD Lenses: 50mm 1.8 & 28mm 2.8 + follow focus.
All but one of the handheld shots were done with the 28mm. Stationary shots were on
501 head and Bogen sticks with the 50mm. Everything was shot at the lowest aperture.

The "imploding" light bulb part was done with a gun...actually an air rifle.
I used 2 bulbs, shot them through the center with the air rifle from 2 different
angles. I was expecting them to shatter, but the pellet went straight through
on both shots.

Camera settings:
720/60p
ISO 800 - 1600
Film Mode - Smooth BW
Shutter 60 - 160

NO color/level corrections done in post.
This was all straight out of camera.
Editing done in FCP

Fun stuff! I noticed some banding in the background - was this a result of web-compression, or the camera?

little bit of both. its not as bad played out on my comp without the compression,
but there is some banding. over ISO 800 the banding becomes very apparent

no conversion, i shot it BW Smooth Film Mode in camera.
