View Full Version : GH1 test with Nikon-lenses.
Did some testing with the cheap Nikon Series E lenses a couple of days ago. I think it looks pretty nice.
Adapter bought from Ebay from a company from Italy called Nikon Discount.
Lenses used:
Nikon 50mm 1.8 Series E
Nikon 28mm 2.8 Series E
Maybe a bit soft in some shots but it can also be the codec, I donīt know :)

David, be kind and write the ebay link for the adapter. I could not find it.
Thanks!
Johnnie
hmm. thatīs weird. It seems that the item is gone. Their website is http://nikon-discount.com/, itīs all in italian (I think) but they speak english if you email them or contact them through ebay.

Thanks David, much appreciated!
btw, are you happy with the build quality of the adapter?
Yes, I donīt have anything to compare with but it feels very solid and easy to use. Not to heavy either.
Also did som CCing on some of the material, I think it holds up pretty well.

I like those videos a lot. Thanks for sharing. What do you think about the kit lens?

Looks great! I'd say the footage really holds up well with color grading. The only thing I noticed is banding in the vignette. Is that just because of the web compression or is it something we need to be concerned about with GH1 footage? What did you color grade with?

nice stuff. i have those same lenses in the form of Canon FDs.
videos did seem a bit soft, but in a good way. seems to me (not just from this video) that
the FDs are a little sharper...but who knows. i really like your video with the CC applied.
oh, and the codec doesn't have anything to do with sharpness

Very very nice.. There's such a world of difference between this camera when it's in the right hands and it's applied to the subject well.. and you did this.. as quite a lot of other people have as well.
The shots on the ledge looked so good and I think I need to get off the fence and buy one. I no longer even consider getting an adapter to add to my other cam.. I think those days are gone, but time will tell.
