With the first one I see a lot of the low light streaking that's being mentioned. What was the camera settings (mode, ISO, etc.) and what was the actual aperture on the lenses set to?

I really can't recall what settings on the first one. I think I pushed it extensive on that one.
The key to low lit scenes, I think, is to have some lighting and allow certain parts to be really dark or near black. This way it becomes more dynamic and it will look really good.

I've tried to raise ISO very high and as long as you have parts in the frame well lit it usually turns out fine. It might be difficult for the codec or sensor when everything is in a faded way like this one. Remember these are all transcoded AVCHD->DVCPRO->WMV->Vimeo coding.
