Hello everybody!

The first week with my GH1 was a pleasure, as I lacked a personal camera since the unfortunate theft of my Canon XM1 about 8 years ago. All this time I had been waiting for the camera of the right form, something small, capable of complete manual controlling, possibly with 50fps shooting mode and ( ugh ugh) something with the removable lens.

I must admit I have been between the 5DMK2 and this little devil and finally gave in to the fact that the austrian store delivered GH1 before I could get the 5d.

There still are issues, Panasonic will hopefully solve, but all in all the camera is a treat.

I borrowed Konica 40mm 1.8 lens ( Thanks again Anže ), which fits the camera perfectly ( with adapter, of course ), and went out too shoot Ana Desetnica street theatre festival in Ljubljana.

Very nice pleasing images.. Well composed, nicely done all around. Makes this little camera quite a beauty for the price. I think it looks as good and as cinematic as any video cam and adapter footage that I've seen.. and at a fraction of the price... cheers

I suppose this is the pal model , please what ISO and shutter speed did you use?

Thanks. There really is a lot of room to experiment with this cam and just go after the feeling you would like to follow.

Yes, It was a pal model, ISO was 800, the shutter set to 1/30.

Probably I could have problems with the slow motion, but I haven't tryed it yet..

the motion blur seems to be aceptable at 1/30 , I'm still waiting for my gh1, but read somewhere that with the new firmware 1/40 can be set, may be its better for blur without lossing too light


please if you have a MTS 720p50 at 1/30 could you upload it to megaupload or rapidshare or any file site? would like to check it raw thanks in advance

Very nice footage. I'm going to get this lens for lowlight stuff with GH1.

Can you tell me which adapter I need to mount it on GH1 and where I can get it?

Thanks, it's actually a REALLY fun festival; 4 days of street theatre performances, partys in circus tents etc. just before the whole city wanishes to the seaside..
