Looking for work in LA during DVXfest week

I'm planning on flying from Atlanta to LA for the DVXfest Screening, and wanted to see if any locals need help on their productions (or know other productions that need help) while I'm out there.

I can work on anything from July 17th to July 27th.

I'm a director / cinematographer / editor / vfx artist but can perform many other functions. I own two Lumix GH1's with crazy cool lenses, and some great audio recording gear.

And here I am chiming in! I'm also looking for a little work to offset the cost of the trip... and well I'm just addicted to shooting so I'd really like to work with some other directors. I own the Pansonic HVX200 with the Brevis Adapter and Canon FD Lenses. Good solid kit with Follow Focus etc.

I've also worked with Solomon before on 2 projects and we work very well together, so I can be his second camera unit if necessary.

just got back from L.A. and Las Vegas. first time I ever been to Hollywood (ya!). not as i expected, but still liked it.

I lived in Malibu and Redondo Beach over a 4 year period. I have a true love-hate relationship with LaLa Land. Wonderful beach communities, horrible commutes, great outdoor activities, terrible property prices (although maybe that's different now...).

Overall, still glad I traded it to return to Oregon...nothing beats the Pacific Northwest.

Now, if anyone wants to hire me I will always return with a big smile :)

Something just fell in my lap, so I may have something for you Solomon. About an hour of shooting, $200. You have two GH1 cameras? Do you have sound gear as well? If not, I can get it. Trying to see if it can be shot while you're here. Are you traveling on the 17th and 27th? or on the days before and after?
