I have converted a wheel dolly in a rail dolly. I post some pics. The work is not finished, I must try to improve the rail system.
More cooming soon. *:)

I think your code is wrong. The pictures adresses are pointing to files in your computer, ain't them?

Yeah, spot on taubkin. You can still view the files if you just add /pics/dollyxx.jpg to the hyperlink....or just wait till avr fixes it ;D

Nice job. I've been working on something similar but you beat me to it. Are you planning on or willing to sell the triangular bracket? I have a machine shop working on a bracket, but they are doing it in their spare time and no luck yet. Thanks.

Looks great! Where did you get those brackets, do the wheels turn? (If you had cicular track would it work?) Where did you get the track and how do the pieces connect?
Keep up the great work.

how stable is it when moving?
it would seem top heavy.
i made mine out of heavier steel to try and keep the inertia and keep it low.

What would you rather have a setup like that instead of a setup where the cam op is sitting ontop a piece of wood and someone pushes/pulls? Is it just to have one less crew member?
My choice is both. I have a skateboard dolly, but it is heavy and needs a good operator.
AVRs version would be great to pack in a suitcase or a trunk of a car. It can also be solo operated. Nice job.

Nice construction! It really looks solid.
Thanks. Charles OK.
I am employed at the system of rails of the dolly, since it was
a bit soft.

HI I'm new......can anyone tell me how I can show pics of my Skater Dolly?
Some guys seem to be able to show them on this site. Others, including me, have to put a Link to the Pics.

You have to compress the images to being under 1100 kb, and then you can upload it to www.imageshack.com
