Hope everyone had a good time making their films...

I know I did! No matter what the outcome and as much of a PITA this one was to get made...it was THE most fun I've ever had on a shoot.

Here's wishing all enrties the best of luck!

This was one of the hardest shoots I've been on and I've been on some pretty rough ones. It didn't help that is was 112 degrees F some of the days we were shooting outside. It was so hot that just being in the sun would overheat the 5dmkii.

But it's the tough shoots that you usually get the most out of in the end.

Good luck to everyone.

Best,
Andy

I came out with two films and the 2nd film aka the Musical was an extremely tough film to put together. The pre production was insane! But I've learned much and hoping it will do well in the fest!

Shooting was a blast, but we know I'm addicted to shooting, so having fun was to be expected. The tough part was the editing because I have seriously never spent this much time on a short film before. Usually it's so clear in my head and that translates well to filming. After that the edit is pretty straight forward, following what I already have in my head, with a few adjustments. This time it was more about style and rhythm than ever before. Plus with sound design and color correction, definitely did things differently this time around.

New fest, new workflow, new aches and pains...

Gotta love it.

TOOTHPASTE! TOOTHPASTE! TOOTHPASTE! TOOTHPASTE!

Wait, were we just repeatedly shouting whatever? Or did I miss the theme here?

Kids had fun, I had fun. Went through half a case of Cherry 7-Up this week pushing to get the edit and color done, though. Caffeine after 12 noon makes me too anxious, but the sugar buzz is the next best thing.

I just want to watch the films. Can't wait for viewing to open!

This one was rough...in fact, I'm still working...uggh...always down to the wire.

Had a lot of difficulties this time around and had to make quite a few changes. There was one point where I called the whole thing off but something compelled me to finish it.

The best thing of course was that I learned a lot. Have a lot of things to work on...
