Are we going to get some count of how many are entered? I mean before the entry system closes?

New leaders are great, good mix for diff. genres. Great work to the creators (I saw them on the CGIfest forum yesterday).

sorry but what does this mean: "Timecode position where the required element can be located" it's my first DVX entry, thanks.

In this case nothing... the "element" for this fest was the pitch to get the greenlight for the film. As long as you got the go-ahead, you're in!

Ok I got greenlit but what does that have to do with timecode? If it is not relevant to Questfest, why is it on the upload page? Sorry but I find it a bit confusing.

The upload page (form) is generic...I just don't think they changed it for this one fest. You're good to go...upload away.

ok cool...one more question: when are we allowed to screen our movie elsewhere? I want to show a longer version of my film, and promote trailers etc. When are we officially allowed to do this? After all votes are in? What date will that be? Thanks!

This is a question for the mods... I don't know and wouldn't want to give you the wrong information.

What is the file naming convention that we should use?

In the past, it was (Film Title) - (DVXUser Name) (i.e. Pickles_and_Ice_Cream-Robert_Eldon)

Yes, the Timecode field does not apply this time, I forgot to remove it ... just ignore it.

You can show your film outside of dvxfest once the fest completes, in this case that will be July 26, the day after the screening where the winners will be announced.

Don't worry about filenaming convention, the upload script renames the file based on your supplied title and user name so they are all consistent.

Just wondering...

Is anyone using, or has anyone used, Adobe Elements 4.0 to export their movie?
I am having a lot of trouble trying to get the right file size... Any help would be much appreciated.

My Premiere CS3 decided to give up the fight, so Elements is all I have for a while.

Wish I could help Dark, I would throw that question at the premiere crowd in the NLE threads.

On another question.

The leader I want to use is a compressed H264, so when I drop that into my timeline and re-compress it looks like shit. Anyway to get an uncompressed version?

question on credits:
I know we have 15secs of credit roll on top of the 6:00 min total play length (plus the leader), am I right?
can it be any background, such as the footage? I want to show a landscape as the final credit roll background, or will this be counted as part of my film?
