I just had a terrible experience: I bought a c-mount to 4/3 adapter made in Japan Model WV AD 16A and tried it on my GH1. It went on rather unsmooth and then got stuck!
there are 2 holes in there which pick up the pins from the electrical contacts!!!!
DO NOT TRY THESE Adapters!! they break the pins !!:kali::kali::kali::kali::kali:

The irony is that I came here to see what C-mount adapters are recommended.
On that note, anyone using one that won't cause problems?

I have a c-mount adapter that I bought for the GH1 that I committed to buy so long ago. I don't have a GH1, but I used it on a Lumix G1 and it worked great with no problems with the connectors.
I've run out of time and interest in dealing with these GH1 availability shenanigans so I'm about to cancel my 3rd and final GH1 pre-order. This means that I'll soon be selling all the aks that I picked up like this c-mount, an FD mount, an introvalometer and extra battery. The adapter/mounts that I have are from jinfinance
from what I understand the ebayer jinfinance or RJ Camera has a c-mount that works. There's another one too that actually works if you have a tv lens that you are trying to machine to fit the mount to have infinity focus-- I believe it's the hawkpeng2003 ebayer who gives you a wee bit of room if your near thread diameter is a little past 39.2you can shave off the edges and make your tv lens fit..

that's the one I have. works wonderfully. Never thought about the contacts but it seems to not cause any issues. I've swapped back to the stock lens a couple of times.

as you can see in my pic there are 2 holes which run exactly where the pins are and they pick up the spring loaded pins! I managed to get it off after hours of trying but the pin on the most left side ( if you look into the aperture from front) is now a bit wobbly. Still makes contact but it definately suffered!!
since this adapter is on sale on ebay, I just wanted to warn everybody, NOT to try it...
