I'm wondering if there's an exhibit category this time around?

it's not so much a category, usually just a group of 4-5 films that A. didn't make it in time, B. couldn't comply to the rules for some reason, or C. were made by moderators, etc.
members have the option to make any film they want for the festivals, and break all the rules if they want to (as long as it still fits with the fest theme), they just can't compete for prizes.

Speaking of which...what ARE the prizes. Seems like details are coming slower this fest.

I wouldn't expect a prize announcement for at least another week if not closer to when viewing opens...

working on prizes... as always no guarantees :)
concerning exhibition, there is no guarantee that you will be able to be exhibition only. This is at moderator discretion... If a film made every attempt to enter for the fest, but perhaps they couldn't make the upload in time, or their runtime ended up being a bit long, etc... then we will consider allowing them to be exhibited so they can still get feedback, but they will not be eligible for prizes or competition.
Though, no one should go in with the plan to make an exhibition film from the get go.. You might get a dissapointment if that is the case. If you want to make whatever film you want, post it in the user films section :) We strongly discourage folks from trying to use the fests as a way to get extra promotion on their film that otherwise, has no relation to the fest.

actually wrapping up first color correction pass on DESIDERATUM. Color is a beautiful program.

It really is. There's a lot there to understand...but I'm sure you're a wiz at it.
