Hello,

To clarify im totally new to DSLR, Lenses and evrything else that i wish i knew.
I just got my GH1 with the mail today and its currently charging. Im looking to use Canon FD primes for some of my projects and is soon ordering an FD adaptor most likely

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Canon-FD-to-Panasonic-G1-GH1-adapter-NEW-VERSION_W0QQitemZ250445272317QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLe ns_Accessories?hash=item3a4fb394fd&_trksid=p3286.m63.l1177&_trkparms=240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A5 0

Now to the question, i just found one of my dads old optics on an old contax camera. The lens in question is a Contax Zeiss Distagon 35mm/f2.8, is this a decent lens? Can it be used like a FD prime? if so what do i need to mount it on the GH1? is an easy mounting situaion available if i use the canon FD adaptor?

Pictures of the lens in question;

Thanks in advance

Best regards,

Get a 4/3 to Micro 4/3 Mount and then a Contax to 4/3 adapter.

The Contax 35/2.8 is a GREAT started lens, man. I've still got my 35/2.8 and it's awesome. VERY good way to start out the GH-1 experience.

I'm not so much a Canon Fan, but it'd be interesting to see how it performs in comparison to FD's.
