View Full Version : Clear Filter!? What is this?
So I was looking around for a UV filter and I found this clear filter which would be perfect. BUT then I looked closer and it was a square:shocked:? I honestly don't know how you would get this to fit on the HVX, unfortunately I haven't bought my standard lens cutting tools! If I bought this how would I fit it on the 82mm front thread? :2vrolijk_08:

Square filters are not threaded and they are made to be dropped into a matte box.

How big is it? I know some matte boxes have spots for square filters, but frankly, you should just get one that screws in, something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Tiffen-82mm-UV-Protection-Filter/dp/B00004ZCK0
Also I recommend investing in a polarizer.
