Vixia camcorders and final cut pro

Wonder if someone have edited a footage from any vixia camcorder in FCP???
Does the FCP recognize the tapeless camera??

You have to ingest the footage first. It transcodes it from AVCHD to ProRes.

As with most tape less ways of importing footage into FCP, you need to go the Log & Transfer window. Then if you're downloading straight from the camera, it should get recognized there. If you're working with files already on the HDD, you need to click on the little icon of a folder with a + sign on it (top left corner of the window). From there you will be able to see the clips and select which ones you want to transfer.
