I really want to get that new canon tapeless camera guys!! i've just heard that the HF S10 doesn't work with final cut.
Is there anyone who have captured and edited footage from this camera on Final Cut Pro guys??? Is there a real compatibility issue between them??
I really appreciate your help people!!!

I'm getting the s10 and it is compatible with FCP, but you have to have at least FCP 6 I think. Some have said that you have to have an intel processor and duo core, but that's not true. Apple has a codec called voltaicHD that you can download that will work for the avchd footage.

Like you, I was interested in creating a tapeless workflow. I purchased the HF-S10 and I have had no problems ingesting the AVCHD footage into FCP 6 on a Intel 17 MBP. I plug the SDHC (Class 6) card into a PCI Express card reader in the laptop and do a "Log and Transfer" in FCP. Decoding is slow, so take a coffee break.

i used a s100 last weekend for our local '48hour challenge'. shot an hours worth of footage and imported w 'log & transfer' SLOW....
later found that footage (shot @ 24fp) was transfered to INTERLACED prores422 (29.97 i )
this caused the image to suffer on pans and quick motion.
next time i think i'll try neoscene to convert to 24p intermediate codec.
all in all its a decent workflow.
