I don't know if you guys have discussed it before, I'm new to the forum, I know specifics matter and so does the package you are offering, but I was wondering where the starting rate is?
I know the video cameras are all over the place since their so many different models, again just don't want to go to low. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever come across a thread that discussed the day rate for video 35mm adapters.
Thanks

In Europe the day rate is usually just under 10% of the cost of the item if you were to purchase it. If the 5d M2 costs 2500 euros, then about 240 euros per day for instance. The reason for this is because digital cameras become obsolete much quicker now, so the chance to recover their value and earn a profit has to happen in a much smaller window of time.

It's about $200 / day at Samy's Camera so yeah, the same 10% rule seems to follow in the US since the body alone is around $2600 here.
10% seems high to me, but I get the fact that these cameras need to make their money back fast since they get obsoleted or out of fashion really quick.

10 percent is definitely too high, but I guess they can do it. I'll probably do a bit more with my lenses and the extras as a full kit.

Yep, if you're local to LA, Kholi might give you a better deal than Samys.

I would never pay this rate on a camera in this price bracket. For a basic kit 1-150 per day seems more likely. If some good glass was included as part of the package, then I can see this rate being a bit more reasonable.

Thanks for the feed back guys. It's good to know where to start. Just to clarify that's just for the camera and maybe a basic set of lenses. I'm assuming your operators rate is on top of that right?

I'm assuming your operators rate is on top of that right? No. The $200/day rate is for the body only. Same with Calumet. Just like if you rented the 1DS Mark III or 1D Mark III. Still camera rentals from big companies don't come with lenses. Lenses always rent separately.
Now you're local to LA I might be able to rent you one of my 5D Mark IIs and throw in a lens, tripod, and monitor with battery for a pretty good deal, but only if you're local.
