Anybody think this mic will be good enough to get a decent upgrade over the current onboard mic?

Any idea on the price?

External Mic. This Rode SVM external stereo mic works wonderfully with the Pentax K-7:
Audio is super-crisp, stereo separation is great, and it picks up no noise or vibration from the camera
body thanks to its rubber suspension system.

Yeah but will it work, doesnt the GH1 have a smaller jack 2.5mm instead of a 3.5mm? Are there adapters out allready?

For only $0.87 each when ordered in qty of 50+ (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10401&cs_id=1040109&p_id=2780&seq=1&format=2)

(Sorry if that looks like Spam...I just think Monoprice's page titles are hilarious)

I know 2.5mm to 3.5mm exist, but has anyone actually made this work? I believe the GH1 is a 4 ring connector, and are the rings setup the same so a TRS 3.5mm would work with a TRS 2.5mm adapter?
