Hi. Just curious if any dvxuser can post footage and maybe some comments about camera. Thanks.

I found some footage for you, I did not actually shoot any of it though.

This is 100% handheld and in auto mode, pretty impressive considering the conditions.

This includes a little more low light, again, very nice.

If you just go into vimeo and search for hm-1000 (http://www.vimeo.com/videos/search:JVC%20GY-HM100), you get a few results... Its still a new camera, so just keep looking back. That link will link you to the vimeo search, by the way.

I have also had the opportunity to use this camera, and it is pretty impressive. If you have ever used the JVC GZ-HD7, it is extremely reminiscent of that, in the sense that it is almost 100% a tweaked version of that camera with a couple xlr ports. Still a great camera though, especially for the price. I would take that over the HMC-150 almost any day... the lowlight is slightly better and is just a nicer camera. It also draws less attention in crowds, compared to an HVX or a similar camera.

Thanks! So low light is better, even with the smaller 1/4" chips, eh?!
In your, opinion how does the codec handle quality wise?
I think one of the coolest things is the ability to edit on the fly in FCP with the quicktime ready files. All it is, is XDCAM EX wrapped in quicktime, right?

The whole thing is not sloppy at all... I don't use FCP, personally (Avid...), but it imports into that and FCP without any qualms... its an all around stand up camera... highly recommended...
